# Coping With Fertility Treatment

Research consistently shows that the psychological burden of infertility is comparable to that of a cancer diagnosis. Couples often describe feeling out of control, isolated, and exhausted.

## Strategies that help

- **Structured counselling** — both partners, ideally before starting a cycle. - **Information control** — agree on what you do and do not want to know during each phase. - **Boundaries with family** — pre-rehearsed responses for difficult conversations. - **Body care** — sleep, gentle exercise, nutrition. Not optional.

ICRC includes counselling sessions in every IVF package precisely because the data says they help.
